Review of the week: Brains?!?

There's a Zombie (groups of them actually) on my lawn. What to do?  Enlist the help of plants and fungi to help you take care of your pesky zombie situation.  This is what the game plants vs zombies is all about.  You take out the zombies before they eat your brains. Here is a little of the back story.

A few years back there was a 24 hour game design challenge where the contestants had just 24 hours to make a working prototype for a game.  The biggest part of the challenge was that designers and programmers had to fit in certain themes.  The original concept and ideas for Plants vs Zombies took place during one of these 24 hour game challenges. (saw this 2 years ago on xbox live stuff)  What is slightly more well know is that PopCap Games was the developer and the first edition of the game released May 5, 2009 on Steam (thanks wikipedia).

There are several types of plants and fungi, to keep the loads of zombies and all their forms, that are set with the task of defending your lawn and your brains.  You start off with the peashooter, which shoots 1 pea per second, and you can build up to a peashooter that shoots 4 per second.  There are a lot of basics that you can build upon like other tower defenses.  What is not typical of the genre is the music video at the end of the game.  WARNING SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVE NOT BEATEN THIS GAME.

Currently I have this game for PC and for iphone.  I prefer the iphone version because of the touch screen.  If I had a tablet PC or a touch screen monitor I would play the PC version more.  I know there are new modes to play in since I bought the PC version and there are modes on the XBLA (xbox live arcade) version that is different from the pc version but I still play the phone version.  Its very easy to pick up and play.  The instructions are great (and crazy dave is crazy) and the sound fx and music work very well with the game.  I give this game a 9.75 out of 10.  *I wish they didn't have to take out the Michael Jackson looking zombie,,,it made more sense with him in it....oh well.

If you are curious about the game play then take a look at this

Plants vs Zombies is available for PC, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, (iOS) iPhone, Mac, and Playstation Network.

I Nearly Got Naked at Walmart

Naked 100% Naked Coconut Water, 11.2-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12)
So I know some of you have heard of this drink before, while others may not have.  It was suggested to me earlier in the evening that I get Naked.  While I didn't purchase it today, chances are that I will in the near future.  If you are wondering what on earth I am talking about here is a little back story about this juice company.

Naked Juice was founded in 1983 by some folks in California who wanted real fruit juice.  The company started more in the home with fresh fruit from a local farmers market and a blender. Eventually they started selling to just one store in the area and later became popular enough to distribute elsewhere.

Naked juices, smoothies, and waters are made from real fruits and vegetables with no sugar added, no preservatives, and no funny chemicals. On top of that they are a green company that is able to continuously recycle their bottles into new fresh bottles. Here is their video:

I hope to be able to pick up and try this juice soon as it is healthy and will help to counter balance some of my less healthy habits.  I sit at the computer a lot.  Some times to game, some times to watch movies, other times to create stuff or even make tutorial videos.

Feel free to let me know what you think if you have already tried Naked.
