This Girl is a Gaming Nerd

That's right folks you "heard" correctly.  I am a female who loves video games.  I know that it is becoming less of a rare thing BUT I've liked video games since I was 3.  The first video game I ever remember playing was Pitfall for the Atari 2600.  Now granted, my family didn't have a lot of money so we didn't get the game when it came out but we got it in 1985.  I was 3 years old and played with my brother. It was another year or 2 before we had a Nintendo Entertainment System thanks to my awesome Grandma who got it for us for Christmas.  For several years my brother and I, and on rare occasions my sister, played the NES together.  We would also play the Sega Genesis when friends would bring it over.  And back then renting games meant we went to a brick and mortar store called Video Update and paid about $1 for a week.

Fast forward a few years to 1999 when I personally bought my own (it was actually a gift for a boyfriend at the time) video game console, Nintendo 64.  I say it was mine since I played it more often.  Skipping all the un-pleasentries with break ups and what not I didn't keep the system.  Big mistake I know.

Now I have just about every major console that has come out since the 1980s.  I play 2 on a regular basis, I play an MMO on my PC, and when the mood strikes me right I break out the old school stuff and have a blast.  If there is something you would like me to review (as long as I own it, Im currently broke) tweet me @placekicker82 and I will get to it ASAP.  In the mean time have fun gaming.
